Jim Deacon guitars

Our best selling budget range of instruments. Don't be put off by the cost, these are very playable guitars. We import Jim Deacon direct from the manufacturer, cutting out the distribution costs and pass the saving on to you. These are the same guitars you will see in some shops with T****r (not Taylor) on the headstock costing approximately twice the price.

Jim Deacon SX34ce - £179

Another blatant Taylor copy, the SX34ce is also solid spruce top with a Shadow pickup. The sunburst is a particularly sweet colour.

Jim Deacon Strats from £119

Coming in all manner of finishes, maple or rose necks, matching headstocks. The Candy apple red, lake placid blue and sunburst finishes are far true(er) to the original colours than any of the competition until you get up to the £400 price region.

Our starter packs consist of one of these fine fellas, a practice amp of the Marshall or Fender variety, a Levy padded gigbag, an Ernie Ball strap, a tuner and a good quality cable.

You will find packages cheaper than this, but beware of the following:

~ MDF instruments (urgh nasty) unplayable guitars (high action gives a beginner no chance).

~ Cheap shoddy amps Horrible(ours are respectable brands - retailing for £60)

~ throw away accessories. We throw the cable that comes with the guitar away and replace it with a better quality one, while most packs leave it in.

~ Vinyl gigbag. Thin vinyl gigbags offer very little protection to an instrument. Our gigbags are padded, tough non-rip nylon

Consider yourself warned

Jim Deacon SX62 - £179

Another solid spruce top electro-acoustic. A smaller bodied jumbo shaped guitar, gives you the big Jumbo sound but is not quite so cumbersome. A good one for girls (that's not to say anything detrimental if you're a bloke and you like this model!!)

Again comes fitted with a Shadow pickup.

Get a TGI Extreme Gigbag with any acoustic for £20 (normally £29.95)

Jim Deacon SX35 - £139

The SX35 is a non-electro solid top Jumbo acoustic. It's got all the big sound of a guitar costing 2 or 3 times the price. It's also very playable, no dreadful high action

The Jim Deacon range is expanding all the time, with more quality models along the lines of PRS and BC Rich style copies on their way for 2005. The Gibson copies are particularly excellent value, Les Pauls for around £225, explorer and Les Paul Junior for under £200
